Pre-heat oven to 350°F, par bake crust until set and sandy in colour.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl combine corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, almond extract and salt; beat thoroughly.
Place cranberries and pecans in pie crust and pour liquid mixture over top. Take strips of tinfoil and cover pie crust edges to keep them from burning. Bake 50-60 minutes, or until center is set.
