Vote for me: as a Calgary Co-op Director because I have extensive executive, technical and governance experience in supply-chain, digital technology and operations management.
What are the special attributes and experience that make you a strong candidate for Calgary Co-op’s board?
I have over 30 years of experience creating, growing, and leading successful advanced supply chain technology, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence companies. I am active in the Calgary innovation community as a founder of the digital health venture studio AltoSante, founding partner at the University of Calgary Creative Destruction Lab, and a general partner of the CMRIC venture capital fund that invests in early-stage science based startups. I can provide insight and advice to the board and management team in the domains of disruptive business models and technology. I have an extensive network in the North American tech community that I can employ on behalf of the Co-Op in several capacities including business development/partnerships, advisement and leadership recruiting.
Why do you want to serve on the Calgary Co-op Board of Directors?
Calgary needs a vibrant, independent Calgary Co-op to give us greater choice, keep jobs local and deliver an omni-channel consumer experience supporting local products. Reduced competition resulting from the consolidation of retailers have led to diminished competitive pressures and allowing for excessive price increases. I have the experience, insights, and desire to support the Calgary Co-op be a competitive choice for our members.
